FOUR WINDS

The brief was to turn this large 325sqm countryside garden into a place where their family could relax, the children would have ample space to play and they could all entertain their friends & family.

Set in the Warwickshire countryside, looking over the hills of Burton Dasset country park, this stunning garden comprises of a beautiful built-in BBQ area accompanied by a bespoke furniture dining set designed Tom Wolstenholme. Whist Sitting at the top of the garden with the view of the fields lies another intermate patio area which contains a matching sofa set. Joining these two areas lies a beautifully manicured lawn where the family can relax and play, whilst soaking up the ambiance of their newly landscaped garden. The sleek finish of the porcelain paving, set against the contrast of the rugged landscape, allows both hard and soft landscaping to announce their presence within the innovative, stylish garden design.

TESTIMONIAL

We are very pleased with our new garden. The design process was thorough, with Tom spending a lot of time ensuring that he got a lot of information about our requirements initially and then reviewing the design until we were happy. The construction was also well organised. Tom advised us regarding the process at each stage and kept the site clean with as little disruption to us as possible. He was open to our feedback throughout the process, advising and amending small details as needed to ensure that we were happy. Now that the garden is completed we have really enjoyed using all the different spaces that have been created. We have been impressed with Tom’s creativity and ability to visualise his design in order to utterly transform the space that we have.

OLD COACH HOUSE

The brief for this stunning courtyard garden required both formal and informal seating areas, and a low maintenance planting scheme.

Balancing the use of granite paving with Yellow Balau hardwood decking creates a high‐end and contemporary feel to the hard landscaping. Use of wood and stone materials is extended with cedar wood pergolas and batten screening complimenting the rendered walls and split‐face natural stone feature tiles. Beautiful lighting and raised beds provide the finishing touches that not only fulfil the brief, but make this garden a unique and elegant space to enjoy.

CHURCH HILL

The brief for this original, multi‐purpose courtyard garden the clients requested to create some private seating areas, space for two parked cars and ample beds for planting.

The elegant rendered curved wall acts as a spine which connects the two seating areas together, creating the retaining wall for the sunken seating area. The use of self‐binding gravel provided an environmentally friendly means for a permeable surface which was requested by the council. With the aid of the plants, water feature and lighting enhance the calm ambiance of the truly peaceful garden.

TESTIMONIAL

Today was the last day of work on our new garden. And the results are stunning. From a complete blank canvas of grass and driveway Tom and his team have produced a beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy. The only things that we requested was that we wanted plants that encouraged bees and had a lovely scent. Tom came up with a sunken seating area , so we weren't overlooked and a ground level seating area too. And also a fabulous water feature. Tom and his team started on the day they said they would start and finished 23 days later! We highly recommend Tom and his team and we already have!!

OLD TOWN COURT

The brief was to design a bespoke fence and a living wall to surround this small town garden in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The clients wish was the fencing have a nautical theme and whilst providing some privacy, they also didn’t what to block the light from entering the garden. Stainless steel posts, brackets and gates were designed as the main framework which held the hardwood slates, creating the truly bespoke peace of garden screening. The plants chosen for the living wall were chosen to provide an all year-round coverage which creates a beautiful focal point anyone would wish for.

ST MARKS

The brief for this spacious, family garden required both formal and informal seating areas, pond, swings and a sunken trampoline.

The original site lent itself to a three-tier design to compensate for the garden sloping away from the house: A clean modern design was requested for the top tier to reflect the home's new extension, with the lower two tiers giving way to the more traditional/natural setting, leading down to the copper beech and silver birches at the bottom of the garden. The use of the permeable self-binding gravel and soft planting combines well with the polished slate tiles and granite paving, giving the space a pleasant balance between the traditional and contemporary ...

TESTIMONIAL

Tom has created for me a garden so peaceful and tranquil, it's a delight to sit and relax in as often as I possibly can. Everything I suggested to Tom was no problem - all the elements required were incorporated to achieve a balanced harmonious environment to while away the hours. It's a beautiful work of art.
