Melton Road
Tasked to reimagine this standard rectangular suburban garden, the vision was for a serene yet functional environment, centred around a relaxing outdoor dining space.
Strategic positioning of the furniture maximised sunlight exposure throughout the day, ensuring an inviting ambiance from dawn till dusk. To enhance the seating area, we incorporated a fireplace and feature wall, fostering a cozy atmosphere for gatherings.
Brick walls strategically integrated into the landscape not only provided additional seating but also guided the eye through the lush garden, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its beauty at every stage.
Additionally, we constructed an office and storage area at the garden’s foot, utilising the Japanese shou sugi ban finish, seamlessly blending the structure into its surroundings.
Our planting plan achieved a delicate balance between soft and hard landscaping elements, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between natural and man-made features. Soft palettes with beige tones marries the rugged limestone brickwork, cast concrete tops and porcelain tiles, while a corten steel water feature pops through, adding a touch of elegance and durability to the space.
The garden was further enhanced with a captivating sculpture by Andrew Flint, adding a unique artistic dimension to the overall garden design.
